ABOUT DR. ALLEN
Holistic Healing Professionals
Dr. Allen began her journey into the healing arts as a massage therapist at the Maui Academy Of The Healing Arts in Hawaii, which helped in laying the groundwork for rigorous study of anatomy and physiology mixed with the loving and nurturing spirit of the islands. Life on Hawaii made her realize she needed to share her skills and island spirit with family, friends, and the people of New York. She continued her massage therapy studies and earned a degree of Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine of New York. Throughout her clinical studies as an acupuncturist, Jennifer treated a wide variety of cases such as sports injuries, internal diseases, fertility, and geriatrics to name a few. She had the privilege of treating patients at the Housing Works West Village Health Center; an advocacy group for people living with HIV/AIDS and homelessness.

While visiting the Sacred Valley of Peru in, Dr. Allen volunteered by treating patients with acupuncture, massage, and herbs at the Kausay Wasi Health Clinic and several Quechuan Villages of the High Andes with a Non-Profit Organization called DESEA Peru. Most cases treated were gastrointestinal disease, farming injuries, and amputees. It was an honor for her to help people who had little to no access to medical facilities and is happy to bring back the loving and nurturing spirit of the Andes.
Dr. Allen is a paddler, part of an outrigger canoe club, and has a history of a wide range of athletic endeavors. She was a dancer from childhood to college, soccer player, a capoerista, and green belt in Southern Shaolin Kung Fu. She understands the importance of exercise and how it affects the mind, body, and spirit. Because of her experience and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, Dr. Allen thrives on the enhancement of patients’ capability and to overcome physical obstacles so they may achieve or maintain their best performance.
Dr. Allen is a California State Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbologist, Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, and Massage Therapist. She is also certified by Virginia Doran in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture. With her guidance, it is possible to attain new hope and harmony within the body - allowing the mind to ease and health to flourish.
